Jessica Barnthouse

A native of Brandon, MS, Jessica is a former graduate of the University of Mississippi where she received her degree in Marketing Communications in 2009. She was a member of the Ole Miss Rebelettes Dance Team where she performed at both football and basketball games, and was selected every year to compete at Divison I national level.  Jessica served as choreography captain for the Ole Miss Rebelettes for two years and recognized as Most Valuable Dancer by her teammates two years in a row.  She has been honored to serve as a selective judge for the Ole Miss Rebelette tryouts for the past three years. She was a former dance instructor and choreographer both privately and for the Competitive Company, as well as studio manager for Linda Dobbins Dance in Birmingham, AL.  She has trained and choreographed for numerous studios and high school dance teams around Mississippi and Alabama, where her students have gone on to pursue their dance career at collegiate level.

She began her training at Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet where she was trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theater for 10 years, and furthered her training in New York City at Broadway Dance Center and Los Angeles, CA at Millenium Dance Complex. She has choreographed and judged for the Distinguished Young Women’s Program as well as trained girls privately in talent for the program.  She currently trains dancers in Dallas and the surrounding areas, and is looking forward to joining Highland Park Dance.  She gives all honor and glory to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for her gift and is blessed to have the opportunity to share it with others, and train students eager to learn and grow in their passion for dance.
