Shelby graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication. Shelby was trained at Top Hat Dance Centre in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, and novelty. Shelby has had over 5 years of teaching experience at a dance studio, specializing in drill team, jazz, and tap. Shelby was a member of the Marcus Marquettes at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. She was a junior and senior lieutenant, and was voted “Most Dedicated” among her teammates. The Marquettes won many choreography, performance, and technique awards at competition all over the state of Texas. While a Marquette, Shelby performed at a Dallas Maverick half time show, in the Macy’s Day Parade, at Disney World, and in the Superbowl XLV half time show along with the Black Eyed Peas and Usher. After high school, Shelby auditioned for the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes, where she became a member of the 72nd line. As a part of this collegiate drill team, Shelby was able to travel all over the United States to perform in the traditional Red, White, and Blue. During her two years as a Rangerette, Shelby performed at the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, and co-stared with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders for the pregame and halftime show for the Dallas Cowboys. The Rangerettes also traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii to perform on the USS Missouri for the 70th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as Washington D.C, where they performed at the Texas State Society Black Tie and Boots Inaugural Ball. Shelby is also represents Southwest Dairy Farmers on Billboards and posters all over Texas, through Rangerettes. Shelby plans to continue her career in dance, letting the Lord decide where she goes.
